New Walking tracks coming soon!

Opalton has some hidden historic treasures dotted around the area and now we have almost 7 kilometres of designated walking tracks taking you to them.

There are 5 separate loops ranging from 500 metres to 4 kilometres long. Sites include the historic cemetery and plaque, the old horse yards, lookout, dam and the Opalton township itself.

Enjoy a stroll or ride a bike through the bush and look for the famous Opalton grass wren and other wildlife on the way.  Don’t forget to look for some opals on the way.

Please remember to leave the area as you found it and take all rubbish home with you.
